Indian Printing Packaging and Allied Machinery Manufacturers’ Association (IPAMA) has signed the agreement with Expo Centre Sharjah to co-organise Print Pack Arabia which will be held from 7 to 10 April, 2014.
The agreement was signed in the presence of Saif Mohammed Al Midfa, director general, Expo Centre Sharjah; K S Khurana, president of IPAMA and C P Paul, general secretary of IPAMA.
“This is the first time in the history of IPAMA for any overseas business tie up has been done. It is working to provide opportunities for our members and promoting brand India image and exploring possibilities of entering into joint ventures and business collaborations, etc with UAE countries.” said C P Paul.
“We certainly want to make a big impact with the inaugural Print Pack Arabia. And, for this, we have joined hands with the leaders in this field – IPAMA, which organises PrintPack India, the fourth largest exhibition of its kind in the world and the biggest in India,” said Saif Mohammed Al Midfa.
The printing and publishing industry in UAE is expected to grow to US$ 7 billion by 2015 with 80% of the sector based out of Sharjah and Ajman whereas the packaging industry in Sharjah region is on an upswing, and is expected to be worth $2.3 billion by 2016, owing to increased consumption and demand for consumer goods driving the need for more sophisticated packaging.
